UK unemployment hits five-year low alongside record rise in employment
Unemployment in the UK has fallen to its lowest for over five years and employment is rising at the fastest rate ever seen. However, ongoing weak pay growth suggests policymakers will be relaxed about keeping interest rates on hold until at least the first quarter of next year, allowing the economy to continue to boom.
