UK industrial production rises 0.4% in October, adding to fourth quarter growth hopes
UK industrial production grew more than expected in October, adding to signs that the economy is enjoying a robust and broad-based upturn. However, goods exports are falling at one of the steepest rates since the height of the financial crisis, which will act as a drag on the economy, though this perhaps raises question marks over the quality of the data rather than the quality of the upturn.
