Economic growth revisions bring official data into line with upbeat PMI data
The Japanese economy grew faster than initially thought in the second quarter, according to the governments' second estimate of gross domestic production. In a reminder of the extent to which official data can be revised, the economy is now thought to have grown 0.9% in the three months to June compared to the disappointing estimate of 0.6% (2.5% annualised) published in August.
